Born from the Formula 1 partnership between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, the SLR McLaren blends supercar performance with long-distance grand touring comfort. At its core is a hand-built 5.4L supercharged AMG V8 producing 617 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed AMG Speedshift R transmission chosen for its strength and smooth delivery.
The SLR accelerates from 0–60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 206 mph. Its carbon fiber monocoque chassis provides rigidity and safety, while Sensotronic carbon-ceramic brakes with an active rear airbrake ensure remarkable stopping power. Side-exit exhausts positioned ahead of the doors create the SLR’s unmistakable sound signature.
