The Lamborghini LM002—nicknamed the “Rambo Lambo”—is one of the most outrageous and historically significant vehicles ever to leave Sant’Agata. Debuting at the 1986 Brussels Motor Show, it was Lamborghini’s first SUV and is widely regarded as the world’s first true luxury performance off-roader.
Performance & Engineering
Under its sharply angled hood lies the same 5.2L naturally aspirated V12 found in the Countach, producing 444 horsepower and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Despite its imposing size and a curb weight just shy of 6,800 lbs, the LM002 could accelerate from 0–60 mph in just 7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 118 mph—numbers that were unheard of for an SUV in 1990.
To match its performance ambitions, Lamborghini collaborated with Pirelli to develop bespoke Scorpion run-flat off-road tires, featuring reinforced carcasses and anti-cut technology. These tires allowed the LM002 to tackle desert terrain at high speed, cementing its capability and military-grade pedigree.
Design & Rarity
Only approximately 328 LM002s were built worldwide, making them exceptionally rare. This example is finished in Bianco over Rosso Leather, a timeless and highly desirable color combination that perfectly complements the LM002’s bold, angular design.
