Often referred to as the "Rambo Lambo," the LM002 made history as Lamborghini’s first foray into the SUV market and arguably the world’s first true luxury performance SUV. Debuting at the 1986 Brussels Motor Show, the LM002 was unlike anything else on or off the road.
Under the hood lies the same glorious 5.2L naturally aspirated V12 found in the Countach, producing 444 horsepower and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Despite tipping the scales at nearly 6,800 lbs, the LM002 could sprint from 0–60 mph in just 7 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 mph.
Lamborghini collaborated with Pirelli to develop custom Scorpion run-flat off-road tires, engineered with reinforced carcasses and anti-cut technology to conquer desert terrain at high speeds further reinforcing the LM002’s military-grade DNA and exotic pedigree.
Only approximately 328 units were produced globally, making this LM002 a rare and highly collectible piece of Lamborghini history. With its outrageous design, rally-bred roots, and supercar V12 engine, the LM002 paved the way for today’s performance SUVs long before it was a trend.
