Exterior & Design
Finished in Pacific Colour Stream, this Sabre features an iridescent exterior that transitions between deep blue, teal and purple tones depending on the lighting and viewing angle.
The color-shifting finish accentuates the Sabre’s dramatic carbon-fiber bodywork, deeply sculpted aerodynamic surfaces and motorsport-inspired proportions. A prominent dorsal fin extends toward the substantial fixed rear wing, while the complex front bodywork, side channels and rear diffuser manage airflow across and beneath the vehicle.

Performance & Engineering
The Sabre is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 824 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
At its introduction, the Sabre featured the most powerful non-hybrid twin-turbocharged V8 McLaren had installed in a road car. Its stated top speed of 218 mph made it the fastest two-seat McLaren road car produced, exceeding the top speed of the McLaren Senna.
Unlike the active rear wings found on several other McLaren models, the Sabre uses a substantial fixed rear wing. An active rear diffuser adjusts to reduce drag during high-speed driving and generate additional downforce under braking.
Its lightweight carbon-fiber construction, advanced aerodynamic systems and rear-wheel-drive configuration create a driving experience focused on speed, responsiveness and high-speed stability.
An Exclusive U.S.-Market Collaboration
The Sabre was developed specifically for the United States and homologated solely to U.S. federal standards. This provided McLaren Special Operations with greater freedom to incorporate design and engineering solutions that would not have been possible under broader global homologation requirements.
Customers participated directly in the development process, driving prototype vehicles and providing feedback to McLaren’s engineering and design teams. Each of the 15 completed cars was then tailored to its owner’s individual specification.
