The Porsche 993 generation represents the final chapter of Porsche’s air-cooled era and remains one of the most celebrated platforms in the marque’s history. Gunther Werks takes this iconic foundation and transforms it through an obsessive remastering process focused on performance, design, and driver engagement.
At the heart of the Turbo program is a Gunther Werks specified, Rothsport Racing-built 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six producing up to 850 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a bespoke Getrag 6-speed manual transmission, delivering an analog driving experience paired with modern performance capability.
The Turbo features a race-derived flat-fan cooling system, twin liquid charge coolers, individual throttle bodies, and a sophisticated multi-map Motec engine management system, all engineered to maximize responsiveness while minimizing turbo lag. With a 7,500 RPM redline and an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of just 3.18 lbs per horsepower, the Gunther Werks Turbo delivers performance that rivals today’s modern supercars while preserving the soul of an air-cooled Porsche.

The Turbo program features a fully re-engineered chassis utilizing bespoke DGR computer-controlled active coilover suspension, revised suspension geometry, upgraded anti-roll bars, lightweight uprights, and a hydraulic nose-lift system.
Stopping power is provided by Brembo GTR braking systems with optional CCMR carbon ceramic brakes, while lightweight forged wheels and titanium hardware further reduce unsprung mass and enhance performance.
