Unveiled in 2022, the Codalunga (“long tail” in Italian) was developed through Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni special projects division. Inspired by the long-tail endurance racers of the 1960s, it represents a seamless blend of period design language and modern hypercar engineering.
The Codalunga’s hand-sculpted bodywork is 14 inches longer than the Huayra Coupe’s, resulting in a more elegant silhouette with enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. Underneath lies the familiar Mercedes-AMG 6.0L twin-turbocharged V12, delivering 840 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed sequential gearbox. Extensive use of Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax composites keeps weight to just over 2,800 pounds, preserving Pagani’s signature focus on lightness.
